 | Anonymous SAID: I rewatched the show and I'm honestly so sad that Malia didnt get the type of development that she deserved. Dont get me wrong she did develop but I feel like so much more could have been done with her. She was funny because nothing sort of computed with her in the beginning but like she was so much more than that. The rather dramatic and bittersweet sadness to her should have been more, Shelley was good at playing up those dramatic moments when she had to. Or maybe it's just that I wanted more of her. I dunno. Malia just deserved so much better than what she got. Did she go with Scott instead of going to France at the end? Who knows, because you dont see her in the future shot with Scott but they were together at the end before the future shot in the finale. Did she and her dad ever talk about the accident now that the entire town knows about the supernatural and also what she is? If the DW isnt dead what happened to her? Did Malia apply to any colleges? Did she decide to become a coyote again the way she wanted to in the very beginning thus going full circle in her story but ending on a peaceful note? I just have so many questions. Out of everyone Malia's ending is the most open ended because everyone moved on and had a plan and Malias were just sort of tossed aside and then Scott happened-Scott who Posey said peaced put and had a brand new pack in the future because everyone moved on. So what happened to Malia? Sorry I dumped a lot here I'm just so annoyed at her ending. What happened to her? |
malia was shat on throughout the series. it felt like they introduced her as a ‘wouldn’t it be interesting if-’ but then never really had any idea what to do with her from then. how to make her adapt. how to give her a storyline. i’ve been rewatching the show and s5 in particular it was clear they just had no idea what to do with her and she often shows up for ten seconds to help with nothing more substantial to her. it’s really sad and makes me so angry for malia who deserved better, because this really did never change. we deserved closure and an ending for her but tbh the ending of the show felt rushed and shoved together, so we got nothing. i think we’re supposed to presume she stayed with scott as part of the pack as that is where she is at the show’s ending and the ‘future’ shot, but we really are given no idea as to what malia’s aspirations for her life were and whether she was on even the smallest of paths to getting there
